  • A hack we like to use when creating content is to focus on one of the following variables: To entertain, educate or demonstrate. It doesn’t matter which variable you choose because they all help you create value for your followers. A few examples of content types are before-and-after photos of your procedures, tips/tricks, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of your practice.
  • Use hashtags: Use relevant hashtags on your posts to increase their visibility and reach new audiences. How to find great hashtags? Look at other medspas in your local area and visit their social media profiles and see which hashtags they are using. What is the engagement like? How do people interact with each hashtag? Take notes and incorporate these into your content marketing. We recommend using 3-5 social hashtags. Choose a few hashtags that have a larger following and 2-3 that are more specific to your niche.
  • Engage with your followers: Respond promptly to comments and direct messages, and engage with your followers by liking and commenting on their posts. This means that you should actively check your messages, comments and likes daily. The more you respond and interact with your followers, the better your chances they’ll interact with you in return.
  • Host contests and giveaways: Host contests and giveaways on your social media channels to increase engagement and attract new followers.

Optimize your listings in other areas people are likely to find you. Examples are YELP, Google my business, LinkedIn, and Alignable.

  • What you do, why the service is awesome for them, and what they’ll miss out on by not using your service

  • CLEAR instructions with the link for how to book an appointment with you.

OPTIMIZE YOUR WEBSITE

7-SECOND CAVEMAN TEST: In short, when someone visits the home page of your website, they should instantly be able to figure out what you do, why it’s awesome for the person viewing your site, and what they’ll miss out on if they DO NOT buy what you’re offering or do business with you.

The 7-second caveman test on a website refers to the idea that a visitor to a website will make a quick decision about whether to stay on the site or leave within the first 7 seconds of arriving. This is based on the idea that humans evolved to make quick decisions about whether a situation is safe or dangerous, and that this instinct still plays a role in our online behavior. Therefore, it is important to make a strong first impression and communicate the most important information clearly and quickly on a website in order to keep visitors engaged.

  • Optimize your website for mobile. Does the page load within a few seconds? Or does it take longer than that? A good resource you can use to check the site speed of your site is: https://pagespeed.web.dev/
  • Plug in your website pages and you’ll get more information on which areas need to be improved upon.

Is it easy for patients to book an appointment with you? Can patients easily book an appointment online with you? Or do they have to call your practice? If they have to call you, you might be missing an opportunity. Offer online booking so it’s as easy as humanly possible for clients to do business with you.

  • Include easy-to-use lead capture forms. This is where the customer will enter their information before booking an appointment with you or contacting you about your service.
  • Things to include are first and last name, phone number, and email. You only need to ask for these 3 things and nothing more. This is the sweet spot. If you ask more questions, it creates more steps and creates more friction. Remember, make it easy for them and you’ll reach success faster.
  • Offer free consultations: Offer free consultations to potential clients to increase the likelihood of them converting to paying customers. Now we aren’t telling you to do business for free. But we are telling you to advertise FREE Consults. Why? This removes the barrier for your new clients and removes any perceived risk they may have before booking an appointment with you.
  • How many steps does it take for them to book an online appointment with you?
  • Is it easy for your clients to find the service they are looking for and select the right provider promptly and accurately?
  • Do you include text to accurately describe what each service is and how it can help your clients achieve XYZ results? List the benefits, not the features.

Wording on your website: What’s in it for me?

By phrasing your website content in a patient-centered way, you can communicate your value to potential patients and make them more likely to choose your practice. So take a step back and evaluate your website content from the patient’s perspective. Are you clearly communicating how your services can improve their lives? If not, it might be time to make some changes.

BEEF UP YOUR SERVICE OFFERING

Optimize your treatment offering and make sure you’re including the solutions your patients want NOT the services you THINK they want. Offer services that are in high demand to increase your revenue streams.
